The EMERGE Studies: Emerge 1 & Emerge 5 If you have tried to control your blood sugar levels, and you are dissatisfied with the results, then you may be eligible to participate in EMERGE – an international clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication for type 2 diabetes.
Sometimes people with type 2 diabetes still have uncontrolled blood sugar levels even with the help of a healthy diet and exercise, with or without medication.
Approximately 330 people with type 2 diabetes, for whom current treatment of diabetes, diet and exercise is not enough to control their blood sugar levels, are planned to participate in this study. The duration of this study will be approximately 1 year.
