The EMERGE Studies: Emerge 1 & Emerge 5 The EMERGE Studies: Emerge 1 & Emerge 5 Aim: EMERGE is a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication (Taspoglutide) in people with type 2 diabetes with uncontrolled blood sugar. Does it efficiently lower blood sugar levels? Does it have fewer side effects? Does it work as well as or better than other diabetes treatments?
